It has taken a month of watching hundreds of models collectively walk thousands of kilometres in four different cities for the buyers from the UK’s top boutiques to agree on at least one trend for next spring. But now the show’s are over, the digested news from the catwalks of New York, London, Milan and Paris is in: flat shoes are back.

“The flat shoe will have a moment next spring,” said Anita Barr, director of womenswear at Selfridges today. “There were some amazing flats,” said Bridget Cosgrave, fashion director at the designer boutique Matches.

NIKE VANDAL

While the Nike Vandal is definitely a nice shoe it doesn’t seem to be able to garnish the same sort of attention as some of the other more popular shoes out there from Nike. We aren’t sure exactly what the reason behind that is, but at least the sneaker still gets more exposure than some of the less popular shoes. We are hoping that the Vandal will make a nice comeback for itself and if it keeps continuing on the way that it is here there should be no problem. This is the new Nike Vandal Low in black, red and white.

The upper of this shoe will be made up predominantly of black leather, but there will be a whole lot of red that is featured on the trim, swoosh, strap and liner. The midsole will be done up in white to add some contrast to the rest of the shoe.

How To Choose The Best Running Shoes

Know your foot type. There are three types: neutral-arched, mid-arched (overpronators), and high-arched (underpronators). One way of identifying your foot type is by checking your footprint. A neutral-arched foot shows a distinct curve along the inside of the foot, which connects the heel and the toe. This type of foot pronates normally, meaning that when the foot lands, the outside of the feet rolls inwardly in order to absorb shock. The mid-ached foot, in comparison, rolls far too inward so that the print shows a slight curve along the outside of the foot.  Read more at submit free articles

Mid-arched foot print looks almost like an entire foot; hence, the nickname flat foot. Among the three, mid-arched foot is the most prone to injuries. High-arched foot, on the other hand, doesn’t pronate enough, which is why its print has a very pronounced curve, showing a narrow band that links the heel and toe. Because the outside of the foot doesn’t evenly roll inward, it gets much of the stress.

Skateboarding Shoes

kateboarding is one of the most popular pastimes in America. Several decades have already passed and it seems that this activity, which was just once a fad, will never lose its popularity. While skateboarding is indeed fun and exciting, it is not devoid of hazards as any pursuit that involves wheels. Special precautions must be made when riding the skateboard and one of the most important things to do is to wear an appropriate pair of skateboarding shoes.

Usually, people would think that any sport shoes would do for skateboarding. However, this is not true. While regular sneakers may seem to work, they might not be able to provide the right protection and maneuverability that skateboarding shoes can offer. And it is not enough to just get the next pair of skateboarding shoes you see off the rack. You have to be careful about buying new skateboarding shoes.

When buying skateboarding shoes you have to look at four important things: the ability of the shoes to give protection, the shoelaces, comfort, and grip.

There’s no sense spending a fortune on shoes if the socks don’t measure up: Our holistic view of the season’s footwear.

But whatever your hosiery preference, you’ve probably shied away from legwear due to the fact that bare legs have been “in,” and you might have been told that you should never wear hosiery with open-toed shoes.

This advice might be great if we lived in a world free of varicose veins and bruises; in which we all loved our legs; and in which we never got cold. But that’s not the world most of us live in. In fact, it’s a world some of us have never even visited. To more related information about the topic visit Wärmepumpe

Granted, it doesn’t create a polished, professional, sexy or even marginally attractive look to have bunched up panty hose sticking out the ends of your shoes, but just because some people wear gravy-stained t-shirts doesn’t mean none of us should wear t-shirts — it just means we need to wear them well.

Hotter Comfort Concept, the leading women’s comfort shoe specialist, has launched a new EEE width fitting as part of its mission to bring comfort to the nation’s feet.

Following research amongst its online, mail order and high street store customers, the UK shoemaker discovered an increased demand for wider fitting shoes mirroring longstanding trends that show that UK women’s feet are getting wider and longer. To cater for this growing market the company has introduced its best selling Dew and Leap styles in EEE fit for the first time and will be monitoring sales to decide whether to extend the range for Spring/Summer 2011.

“We’ve built our reputation designing and making comfortable women’s shoes that look good and which help keep our customers active,” commented Product Design Director Paul Sayers.  ”Over the years we have noticed that women’s feet are getting longer and wider, in fact our women’s extra fit (EE fit) shoes make up 45% of our collection and so moving to EEE fit is a logical step.”

What Causes Corns?
icon1 admin | icon2 Uncategorized | icon4 10 5th, 2010| icon3Comments Off

Corns are painful calluses that form on the toes from friction, making walking or wearing shoes uncomfortable.

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons mentions these common causes of corns:

  • Wearing shoes that are too tight or too loose.
  • Having an abnormality of the toe, such as a claw toe or hammer toe.
  • Wearing high-heeled shoes.
  • Having a seam or stitch on the inside of a shoe that rub against a toe.
  • Wearing poorly fitting socks.

Cute and Comfortable shoes

I am a firm believer in cute shoes. I am also a firm believer in having comfortable feet. Recommendations for heel height are that 2 inches are actually the best for providing arch support and foot health in addition to comfort. Yes, this means that this height is actually recommended over wearing flats. You’ll also want to make sure there is plenty of room in the toe area so that your foot has a little breathing space without allowing room to rub and potentially blister. In other words a snug (but not tight) fit is preferable to shoes that fit loosely. You should have your shoes for the big event properly sized.
